Gates’ chili has been a staple of the Denver Nuggets’ lineup for more than a decade.
Now, the restaurant is planning to bring the popular chili to Denver’s airport, according to an announcement by the company.
Gates is offering a $30 discount to those traveling to Denver from outside the U.S. and Canada.
A $40 ticket also will be available for anyone traveling to or from Denver International Airport between Sept. 6 and Sept. 12.
Gates said Denver is “the perfect destination for the Gates Chili.”
Denver is the perfect destination to have a Chili with Gates Chili, CEO and founder Ryan Gates told ABC News.
“We know Denver is an international hub,” Gates said.
“It’s a destination where we’re seeing our customers, and we’ve been seeing a tremendous response.
People love our chili.”
The Nuggets have won the franchise four straight times, including three straight NBA championships, and Gates is looking to repeat that success with the arrival of Gates Chili.
He has previously said that he would consider bringing the Chili to other cities in the United States.
“We are very excited about the opportunity to bring Gates Chili to the Mile High City,” Gates told the Denver Post last year.
“I believe Denver is a great city to have an iconic and iconic menu.”
Gates has been working with Denver’s Airport Authority on the Chili, and the Denver airport is in the midst of renovations.
The restaurant will be opening in the baggage claim area of Denver International Airports terminal A, located at Mile High Boulevard and Airport Road.
Gates has also been in talks with other airports around the world to offer the Chili at no additional charge, Gates said in the announcement.
The Denver Nuggets will open Gates Chili at Mile-High Stadium on Sept. 16.
Gates, who also owns the Broncos, has previously described Denver as a place that “has a lot of great flavors and a lot to offer.”
Gates also said that Denver is one of the “most unique cities in America.”
